On Sunday evening, October 2nd, Slow Food Marathon County is pairing with Red Eye Brewing Company Wausau to bring you SLOW MEAT 2016! Three farms will be giving demos on beef, pork and lamb and talking about their sustainable growing practices. The theme of the discussion is "Post-Modern Meat: How Working with Nature Enhances Flavor, Health and Stewardship."
We will follow the informational sessions and appetizers with a sit-down dinner/buffet prepared by Chef Nate. Thank you to NewGrass Farm, LLC, Ninepatch, and Lonely Oak Farm for donating their time and knowledge! Do not miss out on this fall evening of education, great company and amazing food. $20 for Slow Food members; $25 non-members, includes appetizers and a chef-prepared meal. Cash bar starts at 6 pm; demonstrations begin at 6:30 pm.
